San Diego: A Day in Coronado

San Diego Coronado

Living in San Diego is great because there are so many different areas to explore around town because it’s so spread out. I work and live in the same part of town so its nice on the weekends to get out of our bubble and check out all the other great spots around San Diego. We spent last Saturday in Coronado wondering around, shopping, eating, drinking and admiring all the charming houses and views Coronado offers. It’s hard to not feel relaxed and happy when cruising the cute streets in Coronado. We walked down Orange Ave, the main street with lots of shops, restaurants and galleries. The highlights of the day: 1) stumbling upon the cutest VW bus and 2) the cucumber mint margarita from Miguel’s!

The iconic Hotel Del Coronado has an amazing view and an awesome beach.

The houses in Coronado range from charming cottages to beautiful historic mansions. Walking around looking at the amazing properties is one of our favorite things to do when visiting.

The smile below is because we were on our way to get margaritas at Miguel’s!

I got the skinny cucumber mint margarita – to recreate at home:                       tequila, cucumber, mint, lime and agave nectar. Yum!
